Description

The project aims to provide technical support to selected SMEs and to the national agencies responsible for SME promotion and DRM in the target countries. Recognizing that the target counties are at different levels of involvement with SMEs in terms of strengthening resilience, the project will implement different activities in each target country depending on country-specific needs and based on discussion with the respective government focal agency. The preparatory work will build on the past and ongoing work related to strengthening resilience of SMEs in the target countries.

Key Activities

?In order to achieve the objective, the following outputs are planed:

1. Identifying actions to strengthen resilience of SMEs
2. Supporting governments in strengthening the enabling environment that promotes risk sensitive and informed investments by SMEs
3. Facilitating knowledge sharing at the regional level

Output

-Action: Strengthen disaster resilience of the SME sector (surveys, assessments and roadmaps)
-Enabling Environment: Strengthen disaster resilience of SMEs (analytical studies and consultations)
-Knowledge Management: On business resilience and risk-sensitive private investment (research studies,guidelines and/or manuals;national forums;regional forum,online platform and successful case studies)
