The principle aim of the project is to scale up CBDRR work in the Lao PDR with the specific aim to provide assistance to the DDMCC and concerned stakeholders in strengthening the coordination mechanisms and disaster risk reduction (DRR) capacities at the national and local level to increase the resilience of vulnerable communities. The objectives of the project are (1) to review and revise CBDRR models in the context of Lao PDR, (2) to map out the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials used by various stakeholders in Lao PDR and (3) to organize a DRR training for media.
