Description
The project aims to support the Government of Mongolia to better understand and manage disaster risks in the country. The ADPC on behalf of UNISDR will collaborate and provide Technical Assistance to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), line ministries and local authorities in Mongolia in establishing a disaster loss database which will help building capacities of the Country in system analysis of disasters and its associated risks. The expected outcomes of the project are (1) to strengthen capacity of Mongolia government officials on evidence based disaster data collection and analysis for disaster risk assessment and (2) to support Mongolia government in collecting historical disaster data for a long duration.
