Description
The Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADPC) has been contracted by the UNDP to undertake the Project entitled ?Development of Disaster Risk Reduction Guideline and Disaster Risk Reduction VDO Animation in Thai Language?. The assignment over 4 months is to support a three-year project on strengthening disaster management capacities in Thailand being implemented by the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), Ministry of Interior with support from UNDP during 2012-2015. The project builds upon post flood 2011 lessons learned and aims at developing institutional strengths of DDPM in the area of large scale flood response and disaster risk reduction promotion.
Key Activities
?The overall objective of the assignment is to develop educational tools to help promoting disaster risk reduction in the Thai context. Specifically, the key objectives of the activities include: - Develop a guideline in Thai with specific content to inspire, motivate, and guide disaster risk reduction strategies and activities within development sectors - Develop educative VDO animation clips on disaster risk reduction in Thailand language for the general public
