The first objective is to enhance awareness, knowledge and essential skills on the strategic use of ICTs for addressing Climate Change and Green Growth among mid to senior level government officials from ESCAP member and associate member countries. The second objective is to increase coverage of ICT for development topics in the area of Disaster Risk Management, and Climate Change & Green Growth in university curricula and majors in the Asia-Pacific region.

The first objective is to be achieved through the re-structuring and enhancement of a training module on ICT, Climate Change and Green Growth as part of APCICT᾿s flagship programme entitled the "Academy of ICT Essentials for Government Leaders" (the Academy). Key activities include: 1) revision of module outline; 2) re-structure of draft; 3) identification of suitable case studies; 4) two rounds of review of draft module and revision based on comments; 5) publication of module; 6) revision of policy-level Briefing Note; 7) serving as resource person in a regional workshop; and 8) serving as resource person for video-filming of sessions. The second objective is to be achieved through the development of two issues of the Primer Series, one on ICTs for DRM and the other on ICTs, Climate Change and Green Growth. Key activities include: 1) revision of module outline; 2) re-structure of draft; 3) identification of suitable case studies; 4) two rounds of review of draft module and revision based on comments; 5) publication of module; 6) development of quizzes, learning points and final test; 7) serving as resource person in a regional workshop; and 8) serving as resource person for video-filming of sessions.
