Description

The objective of the study is to document issues related to legislation/regulation, planning, funding scheme, partnership/networking, research/assessment, and local-national relationship/arrangement that leads to the CBDRM?s integration with national development.

Key Activities

?To develop an inventory of best practices in main-streaming CBDRM-CCA into Development Planning in Asia and Pacific ?To explore capacity strengthening strategies and programs that will contribute to integration and synchronization of CCA and DRR ?To study the possibility of developing social movements on CCA and CBDRM at local communities The research study based on field consultations and desk top research will be undertaken by a lead consultant supported by representatives from the Asian ADPC and IFRC in more than 15 Asia and Pacific countries.

Output

The overall outcome of this study would : ?Facilitate knowledge sharing and exchange of information on relevant issues at AMCDRR ?Assist to design a model for mainstreaming DRR and CCA into development for the participating countries ?Explore capacity strengthening strategies and programs at the local level that will contribute to the synchronization of DRR & CCA ?Provide lessons learned on enabling and empowering CBDRR-CBA through local development
