Description

The project aims to enhance resilience of SMEs to natural hazards and improve reliability of supply chains in APEC region, Chinese Taipei proposed an APEC Multi-Year Project (MYP) on ?Improving Natural Disaster Resilience of APEC SMEs to Facilitate Trade and Investment?. The project will be implemented through three years; where in 2012, the project seeks to hold two meetings to investigate the needs of SMEs in responding to natural disasters, to review current policy frameworks and to collect best practices of business continuity plans for further knowledge dissemination among APEC economies.

Output

1. Submission of monthly report on potential topics the latest international natural/ economic events and latest news/ knowledge for SMEs and officials in APEC region regarding Disaster Preparedness for SMEs in Thailand 2. Submission of research paper on SMEs and related policy makers. The specific purpose of research paper aims to help SMEs in the APEC region to respond to natural disasters 3. Attending the Focal Point Network Meeting and the Expert Meeting, with a theme?APEC Symposium on Promoting Business Continuity Plans to Enhance SMEs/ Participation in Global Production Chains? held on July 11-12, 2012 in Taipei
