Description
Key Activities
1.Refine and disseminate the CBFRM guidelines with the concerned staff at state and subproject levels 2. Prepare detailed scope and implementation arrangements of programs that may be included as a part of CBFRM plans to be prepared by and implemented for the selected CBFRM villages 3. Develop training and awareness campaign materials for project staff, NGOs, and community members for CBFRM, and provide training including the identified trainers 4. Strengthen capacities of the NGOs engaged for community mobilization, CBFRM planning, and implementation 5. Guide the initial formation process of disaster management committees (DMCs) at the selected village and block levels including the approach to sufficiently enroll vulnerable groups 6. Together with flood management specialists, arrange a study tour for a country or region where CBFRM is implemented with effective programs (such as flood forecasting and warning) delivered that are relevant to Assam 7. Assist the establishment of appropriate management information systems (MIS) of CBFRM activities 8. Monitor and guide the progress of the relevant (sub-) components of the AIFRERMIP, and provide advice on any necessary improvement measures.
