Due to the challenges in gender equality in Afghanistan are faced and special insight are needed to open spaces for equal participation and benefits in the project measures which required openness from both sides, the Consultancy for this project was to advice both sides in when and how to involucrate both men and women in project activities. The Technical Assistance to GIZ in implementation of DRM project in Faizabad, Badakhshan, North East of Afghaniztan included:

A Workshop on Gender in Disaster Risk Management organized in Faizabad to sensitize the participants on roles of gender on DRM in Afghanistan and strengthening the CBDRM with gender sensitivity approaches. 2.
