Description

GIZ?s support through ADPC on strengthening the PDMC, Badhakshan, as well as ANDMA and proposed realistic steps to improve the PDMP plan with agreed and realistic, clear cut roles and responsibilities and standard operating procedures as input to an improved and optimised PDMP.

Key Activities

1. Institutional capacity assessment of Badhakshan PDMC 2. Two consultative workshops conducted; to concentrate on existing PDMC compared to best practices and success stories of the region; and to finalize and endorse the PDMC members and relevant stakeholders 3. Assisted PDMC to prepared draft Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) 4. Workshop and learning circles for horizontal and vertical coordination and cooperation for PDMC members and other partners on DRM 5. Documentation and recommendations to capture experiences and lessons learnt includes assessment report on existing DRM status and capacity, revised PDMP (organization chart of DRM mechanism at different levels), training curriculum, SOP and project final report

1. Agreed Coordination Architecture, based on the existing structures and real capacities (Organisation Chart; Flow Charts; Description of actors, mandates, roles and responsibilities Pro) 2. Proposed Adjustments for an Enriched and More Reality Based Provincial Disaster Management Plan 3. All relevant Standard Operating Procedures for all operational actors on all levels 4. Workshops and learning circles for horizontal and vertical coordination and cooperation 5. Documentation and recommendations, the following documents will be prepared to capture
