ADPC recently signed a grant agreement with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for Strengthening Institutional Capacity of the National Disaster Risk Management Commission of Ethiopia. The overall goal of this program is to, ?improve the institutional capacity to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters in Ethiopia by strengthening the institutional system and technical capabilities of the National Disaster Risk Management Commission and other key stakeholder agencies. This will be achieved through the provision of institutional partnerships, knowledge resources, training, and networking opportunities. The program focuses on strengthening the institutional and human resource capacity of federal, state and local level governments and other stakeholders, who are involved or shall participate in humanitarian response and risk reduction activities in the country. The project will offer a formal platform for capacity development, provision of technical inputs and tools for preparedness, emergency response and recovery planning. As part of the Strategic Planning Department under the Office of the Executive Director, the Senior BI Coordinator will support ADPC management to enhance organizational decision-making by producing internal and external business intelligence for countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Specifically, the Senior BI Coordinator will contribute to expand the work and influence of ADPC and its programs by identifying potential donors and preparing business plan information as necessary. The incumbent will obtain, analyze and evaluate a variety of information, as well as organize, interpret and present it in meaningful forms for varied audiences leading to sound decision-making and fundraising for ADPC.
