The project essentially focuses on systematic and strategic capacity development of national and local NGOs and CSOs, private sector companies and government to be able to respond better to humanitarian needs and to build the resilience of communities to withstand shocks.
The project also advocates and promotes the inclusion of DRR, community's resilience vulnerable groups and gender considerations into long-term community development that enchances security,safety, and well-being in all aspects.
The project aims to change the way humanitarian assistance is provided in Myanmar, to combine short-term aid delivery with long-term approaches that leave a lasting positive legacy. It will enhance the resilience of crisis-affected communities and build the country's capacity to respond to future humanitarian need through disaster risk reduction programming.
