UNICEF Bangladesh is developing a partnership with Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR) on Child-centered DRR (CCDRR). This is to raise awareness and build capacity of policy makers on the CCDRR in line with SASRC's regional policy framework on CCDRR.?

EXPECTED RESULTS

1.? Stakeholders representing Government, UN, CSOs and media are sensitized on Comprehensive School Safety: A high profile round table discussion on Comprehensive School Safety (CSS) will be organised for key stakeholders of CSS including government, UNs, CSOs and Media will be invited for a roundtable meeting to discuss current status of CSS implementation in Bangladesh as well as needs and opportunities. In particular, collaboration and participation of Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (MoPME) will be sought.

2.? 25 Senior officials are oriented on child-centered DRR. A high level orientation on CCDRR will be organized for joint secretary level and above for a half day. At least 20-25 government ministries will be reached by this orientation including the Civil Service Training Academy with the aim of including CCDRR in the civil service training curriculum.

3.? 25 Government trainers representing 20 ministries are trained on Child Centered DRR (CCDRR) xyz: Two batch of Training of Trainers on CCDRR: will be held for 20 government trainers from 10 government ministries for five days per each batch.?
