Asian Disaster Preparedness Center and the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in strengthening disaster-resilience in Asia.

As part of the collaboration, ADPC will provide ARCASIA with technical support in building architects’ knowledge of disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response mechanisms.

The aim is to advance the building of resilient housing and shelters against natural disasters in the Asian region. ARCASIA is a regional organization consisting of national institutes of architects from 19 countries across Asia. It promotes the development and education of architects and the architectural profession in their service to society.
