The International Conference on the Demography of Disasters: Implications for Future Policy on Development and Resilience was held on 18 - 20 September 2013 in Canberra, Australia. Organized by the Australian National University (ANU), the conference was attended by more than 50 academia and practitioners from the fields of eg. psychology, anthropology, geography, and disaster risk reduction from different parts of the world including Australia, China, Myanmar, Philippines, USA, and Vietnam. In the conference, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center was represented by Project Manager Mr. Sudhir Kumar who presented a paper titled ADPC's approach to risk resilient development in Asia.
