Editor's Corner...

Dear Readers,

It is with pleasure that we offer you this issue of Asian Disaster Management News on "Reconstruction after Disaster."

As you may already be aware, after having functioned as an Outreach Center of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for more than 13 years, ADPC has now established itself as an independent international foundation registered in Thailand and governed by its own international Board of Trustees. However, we remain located on the AIT campus and our regional mandate remains unchanged. This institutional evolution has coincided with a significant expansion of our programs and activities. We have included a special insert with this issue to appraise you of these.

Expansion of our programs and activities will also include improvement of our information and research services. We hope that we shall be able to produce this publication and some other information products in a more timely manner. This issue was produced with editorial assistance from William Savage of AIT. Valuable assistance in the production of this issue was provided by Lolita Bildan and Christine Apikul.
