The consulting services (the Services) include flood (hydrological and hydrodynamic) modeling and flood hazard assessment for selected province districts in selected river basins in Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan. The focus of the study will be on fluvial flooding, and should use a hydrologic and hydrodynamic modeling approach to generate1D and 2D flood simulations.

The main objective of the consultancy service is to develop climate-resilient transport (roads and bridges) guidelines for South Asia and provide detailed recommendations for upgrading road design standards in Bangladesh and Nepal. The guidelines will focus on the design of new infrastructure as well as the retrofitting, maintenance and rehabilitation (including nature-based solutions for slope stabilization, innovative materials etc.) of existing infrastructure to make them climate-resilient.

EOI-22-053 Firm for enhancing LAPA formulation process through VRA and Adaptation Planners
In order to achieve the country priorities on LAPA, the CARE for South Asia Project intends to support the Government of Nepal in developing training manuals for formulating LAPA, providing training to the adaptation planners, and producing certified adaptation planners at federal, province, and Palika levels (covering both rural and urban municipalities) in Sudurpashim Province, with potential replication in Bagmati and Madhesh Provinces.
