Southeast Asian countries like Myanmar and Viet Nam are extremely vulnerable due to their unique geo-climatic locations in the Bay of Bengal and East Sea. Early warning system assessment was conducted in Myanmar and Vietnam under NORAD/URCE programme using the early warning system assessment matrix, which was developed based on four pillars for the early warning system suggested by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
