ADPC continues collaboration with the College of Asian Scholars

Asian Disaster Preparedness Center has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on continued academic and technical collaboration with the College of Asian Scholars.
The two organizations will continue to cooperate in promoting disaster preparedness in Asia, with a focus on flooding, drought, landslides, and earthquakes as well as man-made hazards such as fires and chemical pollution.
The scope of collaboration will also cover the promotion of preparedness to public health emergencies, inclusive and effective governance systems for disaster risk reduction, and empowerment of communities to build a culture of safety and resilience.
The joint initiatives will include organizing of academic courses and workshops, development of modalities for transfer of knowledge, and the establishment of a network of disaster risk reduction professionals in Northeastern Thailand.
The College of Asian Scholars is an academic institution based in Kohn Kaen, Thailand.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kasom Chanawongse from the College of Asian Scholars and Director Mr. N.M.S.I. Arambepola from ADPC.
