Development gains in South Asia are already in peril due to the increasing frequency and intensity of floods, cold and heat waves, droughts, wind storms, and cyclones. In response, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) has initiated the implementation of a World Bank-funded project, "Climate Adaptation and Resilience for South Asia," or CARE for South Asia.
Bangkok, Thailand – ADPC through its Asian Preparedness Partnership (APP) program and Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) co-organized the second meeting of the Regional Technical Working Group on 'Inclusive Approaches in Localization' (RTWF-IAL) to discuss a training curriculum for local organizations on early warning, evacuation and camp management.
