On April 22, 2024, all 16 iCARE Innovators representing project countries came together for a significant milestone: the Quarterly Progress Review Workshop. Hosted virtually, this workshop provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the progress made in implementing innovation projects across SAR countries.
The workshop had several key objectives:
- Comprehensive Implementation Review: Participants engaged in a thorough examination of the overall implementation of the innovation projects. This involved assessing project milestones, identifying successes, and addressing any challenges encountered during the execution phase.
- Outcome and Output Assessment: The workshop facilitated an assessment of the likelihood of achieving the project’s desired outcome and specific outputs within the designated timeframes. Innovators critically evaluated progress against predefined indicators.
- Problem-Solving and Mitigation Strategies: The participants proactively examined implementation problems. They brainstormed effective measures to resolve existing challenges and prevent potential roadblocks in the future.
The virtual setting allowed Innovators from diverse backgrounds and expertise areas to collaborate seamlessly. Discussions were lively, with participants sharing best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches. The workshop fostered a sense of collaboration among the iCARE Innovators, reinforcing their commitment to climate innovation for resilience in the region.
As the workshop concluded, participants committed to continued collaboration and knowledge exchange. They pledged to apply the insights gained during the review to enhance project implementation.
