Dhaka, Bangladesh – As part of the "Bangladesh Resilience Advancement in City Ecosystems" (BRACE) Program initiated in in June 2023, with support from the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, Simulation Drills to test Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) of three Urban Primary Healthcare Centers (UPHCCs)in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) were carried out in November 2024.
Male, Maldives – Male, Maldives – 30 April 2024 – The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Maldives, in collaboration with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and supported by the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, convened a pivotal National Planning Meeting in Male City.
Tbong Khmum province, Cambodia – From January 22 to 26, 2024, the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) facilitated a high-level delegation visit to Cambodia and Lao PDR. Comprising participants from contributing member countries of the Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (CREWS) Initiative, including the French Climate Ambassador, as well as representatives from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), and the World Bank, the delegation aimed to deepen insights into disaster preparedness and management at national and sub-national levels in both countries.
