ADPC’s Disaster Management Systems team focuses on strengthening institutional capacities for disaster risk management of countries of the region. DMS team undertakes activities in the following key areas:

Strengthening and Building Capacities of National,Provincial
and DistrictGoverments.
- Promoting regional cooperation and supporting
the work of regional and sub-regional cooperation mechanisms
in disaster management;
- Mainstreaming disaster risk management into
development policy, planning and implementation in Asia; and
- Supporting the development of systems’ tools and techniques, research and documentation of practices for disaster risk management.
