DMS Home
Overview

ADPC's Disaster Management Systems (DMS) team focuses on strengthening institutional capacities for disaster risk management of countries of the region. DMS team undertakes activities in the following key areas:

  1. Strengthening and building capacities of national, provincial and district government authorities (BNPS);

  2. Mainstreaming disaster risk management into development (MDRD) policy, planning and implementation in Asia;

  3. Institutionalizing Community-based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) by strengthening national and local capacity; more > and

  4. Promoting regional cooperation and supporting the work of regional and sub-regional cooperation mechanisms and development of tools and techniques, research on disaster risk management.
