Dr. Suvit brings in more than 30 years of experience of working with high-level national, regional and international institutions. Prior to joining ADPC he worked with the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) where he served as the Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific from 1994 to 1998. Earlier, he was the Vice President of the Asian Institute of Technology from 1992 to 1994.

Dr Suvit has held many high offices in the Royal Thai Government including Prime Minister's Adviser on Environmental Affairs, Chairman of the National Environmental Awareness Committee, Government Spokesman, and Founding Director of the National Identity Board. Additionally, he has served either as chairman, director or member of over 30 Thai Government, UN, and NGO committees and foundations. He holds a Bachelors Degree in History and International Relations, Masters in Administration of Higher Education and Doctoral Degree in Community Development with Distinction from the United States of America.
