Implementation of Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management (CDRM) Approach

As endorsed by the 2nd RCC Meeting in 2001, the comprehensive approach to disaster risk management entails developing and implementing strategies for different yet complementing aspects of disaster management, i.e. prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery, in the context of sustainable development. A concept paper is being developed by ADPC, and will be circulated to member countries covering action over a 4-year period 2004-2008. The session would review the proposed program.
