Phnom Pen, Cambodia – A two-week Training Workshop on Severe Weather and Impact-Based Forecasting and Warning Services (IBFWS) was conducted from October 23 to November 3, 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The workshop, a collaborative effort between the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the Ministry of Water Resources & Meteorology (MOWRAM) of Cambodia, and the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADPC), drew together operational forecasters and stakeholders from diverse Cambodian agencies.�
Bangkok, Thailand – ADPC facilitated and hosted the kick-off meeting of the second phase of the Bangladesh Preparedness Partnership (BPP) Program on 12 September 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand. Under the leadership and guidance of the Ministry of Disaster Management & Relief (MoDMR), Bangladesh, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the kick-off meeting was attended by various sectoral organizations as part of the BPP partnership.
