Knowledge management has become the foundation of information-driven solutions for more effective and contextualized disaster preparedness and response efforts. The assessment seeks to develop a strategy and RapMap to implement systematic training. It also analyzes existing capacity and gaps for disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA), identifies priority research and training areas as well as map stakeholder institutions to advance knowledge and skills for a productive, efficient, and innovative approach to DRM in Ethiopia. ARISE project was implemented by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) in partnership with the Ethiopian Disaster Risk Management Commission (EDRMC) and with financial support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (the foundation).
