Mr. Li Hong, Permanent Representative of People’s Republic of China to United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and Ms. Xie Zhangwei, Official of the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok, visited Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) on 6 March 2015.

Mr. Shane Wright, Executive Director of ADPC, warmly welcomed Mr. Li and Ms. Xie and gave a brief presentation on ADPC and its activities, especially ADPC’s work in China.

ADPC has collaborated in disaster management activities with China since 1986, and work has been increasing over the last 15 years with multiple project activities. During the visit, Mr. Shane and Mr. Li discussed future work and expressed interest in strengthening collaboration in disaster risk management between China and ADPC in the future.
