Asian Disaster Preparedness Center’s (ADPC) Executive Director Mr. Shane Wright visited Pacific Disaster Center on 26 January 2015 to discuss opportunities for future collaboration between the two organizations.

Looking into previously implemented joint activities, ADPC and Pacific Disaster Center agreed to explore potential areas of future cooperation in disaster risk reduction in Asia and look for synergies in carrying out their current activities.

With its headquarters in Hawaii, USA, Pacific Disaster Center delivers comprehensive information, assessments, tools and services to reduce disaster risk. It was established by the U.S Congress and became operational in 1996.
