ADPC’s Annual Report and case studies from 2013 published

20 May 2014

Bangkok, Thailand

ADPC has released its Annual Report from 2013 along with a booklet capturing case studies of the concrete steps taken towards the organization’s vision of safer communities through disaster risk reduction last year.

“In 2013, we expanded our operation and made great strides towards a complete implementation of ADPC’s strategy 2020. Through innovative work such as risk-sensitive land-use planning in Myanmar, training of the community responders, and mainstreaming climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction into local development programs in Bhutan, Maldives and Mongolia, we have done our best to make Asia a safer place to live”, says ADPC’s Chairman, Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawongse.

“We hope that by continuing along the path laid down by the steps taken in 2013, come 2020, we will see a region where disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation have been mainstreamed deeper into economic and social development policies”, states Executive Director Shane Wright.
