The Norwegian Meteorological Institute (met.no) in collaboration with ADPC conducted a hands-on training workshop on DIANA and R software, which are being used for visualization of meteorological data and analyzing historical climate data, respectively. The four day workshop was attended by several meteorologists of Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) of Myanmar. Four technical experts of met.no participated as resource persons in this training workshop, which was organized under the project funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Royal Norwegian Government.“I must thank the experts of met.no and ADPC for introducing DIANA software as it is very much useful for weather forecasters at DMH for their day-to-day routing activities” said Dr. Hrin Nei Thiam, Director General of DMH.
ADPC will provide follow up technical support to properly establish DIANA visualization software at DMH, Myanmar for their operational use.
