Vietnam Disaster Management Center and Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) jointly organized a workshop on mainstreaming disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation into socio-economic development plans at commune-level on 13 December in Hanoi.

Attended by more than twenty government departments and development partners, the workshop focused on drafting recommendations for the preparation of the guideline on mainstreaming disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation into socio-economic development plans at commune-level in Vietnam. The workshop also discussed the development of a training package on the same theme.

The first training of trainer program is planned to be organized during the first quarter of 2014. This intervention is part of the Regional Consultation Committee program funded by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).
