100 Questions on Strengthening Disaster Resilience Campaign

12 May 2022

Bangkok, Thailand

Greetings from Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), Bangkok, Thailand!

With reference to the recent IPCC report, it is very clear that we may expect more frequent and intense meteorological and hydrological events due to human-induced climate change.

At the same time, as we are approaching the midpoint of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) implementation, it is the perfect timing for us as disaster risk reduction (DRR) practitioners to look at where we are now and how we can further enhance and strengthen our work on disaster and climate resilience.

As you are part of ADPC family, we would like to hear from you about the current state of disaster resilience in the Asia and the Pacific region and how we should design our future interventions and activities to address current gaps and emerging issues.

Against this backdrop, we are launching the “100 Questions on Strengthening Disaster Resilience Campaign” to seek your key inputs and suggestions.

To kick off this campaign, we are sending a short online questionnaire to seek your input on the most critical questions that we should ask ourselves under various topics of disaster resilience.  We will collect all the questions and then share the compiled 100 questions with you at the end of 1st phase. We will further engage you in the 2nd phase to jointly tackle these 100 questions.

We hope you could take out some time from your busy schedule to complete the questionnaire. Your inputs to the questionnaire are quite important and valuable to our analyses.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at academy@adpc.net if we can be of any assistance.

Sincerely,
