The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), in collaboration with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), has launched an online course on how to use the Sendai Framework Monitor ─ a platform with a set of 38 indicators to measure global and national progress in the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR).

The online course provides technical support to the Member States, and other stakeholders for using the Sendai Framework Monitor to share their progress with the global community on each target of the SFDRR and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The role of Member States is crucial in updating the Sendai Framework Monitor which enables regional and global analyses of the Sendai implementation to be conducted. Regularly updating country progress will also enable identification of gaps and needs of each country and the region. To access the course, click here.

The Sendai Framework Monitor was launched by UNISDR, in March 2018, to provide the Member States with a platform to report on their country’s progress towards the SFDRR and SDGs.
