February 26 - Philippine landslide reach relief and rehabilitation stage

Almost 90% of the military forces from different countries had left the operations and command centers already. Efforts have been made to assure the sustainability of the relief and rehabilitation stage of the municipality by institutionalizing systems of accountability and transparency. A MDCC structure is being activated by PD1655 to capacitate the community.

Generally, we are primarily supporting the UN Disaster Assessment and Coordination team, the local and provincial governments, and the participating NGOs. In an emotional moment, The Governor announced that they were ending their search and rescue operations on Feb 24. However, continuous retrieval operations are still being implemented. As of now, we are already in the relief and rehabilitation stage of the disaster.

The situation is now more exposed to the dynamics and politics of community-based disaster risk management.
