Disaster Reduction Program for Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam (DRP-CLV) Project Summary The project Disaster Reduction for Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam (DRP CLV, Ref. No: 104.SEA.1.MSF.5) focuses largely on capacity building, pilot project implementation and program development and reflects DANIDAs aims to develop human resources, protect the environment, ensure social progress and promote regional co-operation. The project was funded by DANIDA in October, 2001 and is being undertaken by ADPC. Project activities are centered on disaster risk communication including public awareness raising. |

Project Goal To reduce the vulnerability of at risk communities in the three target countries (Cambodia, Lao PRD, and Vietnam and minimize the loss of life, injury, human suffering and damage to property caused by natural, technological and man-made disaster through the enhancement of existing institutional and individual capacity for disaster management, preparedness and mitigation The project was funded by DANIDA in October, 2001 and is being undertaken by ADPC. Project activities are centered on disaster risk communication including public awareness raising.
