Overview

ADPC's Disaster Management Systems team focuses on strengthening institutional capacities for disaster risk management of countries of the region. DMS team undertakes activities in the following key areas:

1. Strengthening and Building Capacities of National, Provincial and District Goverments.
2. Promoting regional cooperation and supporting the work of regional and sub-regional cooperation mechanisms in disaster management;
3. Mainstreaming disaster risk management into development policy, planning and implementation in Asia; and
4. Supporting the development of systems' tools and techniques, research and documentation of practices for disaster risk management.
