Kareff Rafisura
Program Coordinator
Kareffs key areas of expertise are
in institutional and policy assessments, documentation
and research. She joined ADPC in January 2006,
collaborating with CRM team members and project
partners in implementing projects that are
aimed at mitigating the adverse impacts of
climate variability on societies, documenting
project impacts, and undertaking research,
particularly related to analyzing climate-related
problems and understanding institutions and
policies. She is mainly responsible for coordinating
the Climate Forecast Applications program
in Indonesia and the Philippines.
Kareff has six years research experience
on climate, participatory governance, and
environmental management issues, having worked
with the International Research Institute
for Climate and Society (New York), Global
Development Network (Washington), Earth Council
Learning Center (Manila), and Social Development
Research Center (Manila). Kareff holds a Masters
degree in Climate and Society from the Department
of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia
University in New York, with graduate-level
coursework in International Studies completed
at De La Salle University in Manila.
