(IRI)
IRI is an international research institute
with a mission to enhance society's capability
to understand, anticipate and manage the
impacts of seasonal climate fluctuations,
especially in developing countries. IRI
provides technical expertise in the development
of custom-tailored climate forecasts and
other climate information tools designed
to support and improve existing decision-making
processes.

Agency for International Development Office
of Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA)
USAID supports developing countries in their
goal of improving the lives of their citizens,
as it furthers America's foreign policy
interests in expanding democracy and free
markets. USAID/OFDA facilitates and coordinates
US Government emergency assistance overseas,
providing humanitarian assistance to save
lives, alleviate human suffering, and reduce
the social and economic impact of natural
and man-made disasters worldwide.
