University was established in 1987 to cater to the growing educational
needs of the country in the fields of science and technology, life
sciences, management and business administration, social sciences,
arts and humanities, law, education and fine arts.
The
Urban & Regional Planning discipline offers courses on disaster
management. The university also has GIS/RS facilities.
