3. Its not only the school children, but the young and the old, modern and traditional life styled people who joined the Earthquake Safety Day 2000 procession in Kathmandu, Nepal. The musicians seen here are typical traditional Nepali musicians who has a great capacity to cummunicate through their music and folk songs.

  

4. The Earthquake Safety Day in Nepal is accompanied by a week long exhibition on earthquake. The Earthquake Safety Day 2000 in Nepal exhibition was also participated by AUDMP's Indonesian Urban Disaster Mitigation Program (IUDMP). IUDMP stall in the exhibition.

 


5. The Department of Building, Kathmandu, Nepal also took part in the exhibition. Does this mean to build earthquake safe houses in Kathmandu/Nepal is gaining ground at the policy level also?

 

  

6. Its not only the national or regional organisations which participate in the Earthquake Safety Day or the exhibition, but international organisations as well. OFDA/USAID and United States Geological Society/USGS also made their presence during the exhibition in Kathmandu.

 


7. Of course AUDMP/ADPC was also there during the Earthquake Safety Day and exhibition. The exhibition in Nepal in tandem with the Earthquake Safety Day is a great opportunity to network and be in public.

 

  

8. Finally its the Kathmandu Valley Earthquake Risk Managment Project (KVERMP)/National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal's (NSET) stall, who makes possible the Earthquake Safety Day and the exhibition possible in Nepal.
