Call for Contributions to Primer on Disaster Risk Management in Asia

The Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) seeks case studies/photographs on demonstration activities, training and awareness-building activities, drills and preparedness activities for inclusion to its upcoming publication "Disaster Risk Management Primer for Asia". Selected items will be published with acknowledgement to authors/sources.

Call for Contribution to a Housing Encyclopedia

The editorial board of the World Housing Encyclopedia is actively looking for contributors of housing information from different regions of the world. Sponsored by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, USA and the International Assocation for Earthquake Engineering, this interactive web-based encyclopedia features housing construction in seismically active areas of the world. The web site currently has detailed descriptions of numerous types of housing around the world, including strengths and weaknesses of each type. It also has some resource materials such as tutorials to learn about some aspects of earthquake-resistant housing.
