ADPC
supports UN-ISDR/WG3 initiative Development of a "Register"
of tools and practices for disaster risk-vulnerability-assessment
at national, sub-national and local levels is underway.
It is an initiative of the UN-ISDR/Inter-Agency Task Force Working
Group 3(IATF WG3) whose main task is to advance knowledge on the development
and application of data and tools for risk/vulnerability assessment
and reduction. The Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) partners
with the UN-HABITAT, UNDP and Organization of American States (OAS)
to support this initiative by collecting and organizing an inventory
of risk analysis and vulnerability assessment tools, that which can
be easily accessed both by UN-ISDR partners and the general public
through the internet.
