Call for Contributions to Primer on Disaster Risk Management in Asia

The Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) seeks case studies/photographs on demonstration activities, training and awareness-building activities, drills and preparedness activities for inclusion to its upcoming publication "Disaster Risk Management Primer for Asia". Selected items will be published with acknowledgement to authors/sources.

Call for Nomination:

2004 UN Sasakawa Award for Disaster Reduction Nominations are now being accepted for the 2004 UN Sasakawa Award for Disaster Reduction rewarded to individuals and institutions from around the world who contributed, through innovative practices and outstanding initiatives, to reducing the risk and vulnerabilities of communities to natural hazards. Deadline for submission is on 18 August 2004.
